- Delegate tasks effectively and oversee occupational therapist assistants and technicians.
- Deliver occupational therapy treatments and patient care in accordance with hospital, state, and federal regulations, as well as professional standards.
- Maintain ongoing communication with hospital departments to ensure the needs of patients, staff, and the facility are met.
- Current state licensure or certification required by the first day of employment.
- CPR certification preferred, unless mandated otherwise by hospital policy.
- Completion of a degree from an accredited therapy program or one deemed substantially equivalent by a recognized certifying body is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and caregivers are essential.
- Proven competency in occupational therapy evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment.
