SHIPPING & LOGISTICS ASSOCIATE

1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | Potential Overtime


Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Logistics Associate to support the movement and storage of raw materials and finished products throughout the supply chain.

This position is responsible for picking, packing, processing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. The ideal candidate will have previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience and be comfortable using shipping software and material-handling equipment.


Responsibilities
  • Pick items according to sales orders and verify accuracy before packaging.
  • Select the appropriate shipping containers and packaging materials.
  • Review orders and identify unavailable items to ensure accurate order completion.
  • Package completed orders securely for shipment.
  • Separate and distribute orders to the appropriate departments.
  • Operate UPS Maxiship and Federal Express Powership computer systems.
  • Pick, pack, and weigh shipments to determine delivery costs.
  • Prepare and process international shipping documentation.
  • Coordinate order changes with the Customer Service Group.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting additions and withdrawals.
  • Operate hand carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Cross-train in additional warehouse and shipping functions.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers in individual and small-group settings.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Work overtime as required based on operational needs.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least one year of related shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with UPS Maxiship and Federal Express Powership is preferred.
  • Experience preparing domestic and international shipments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory-control procedures and storage management.
  • Ability to pick, pack, weigh, and prepare orders accurately.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks, hand carts, forklifts, or similar equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Proficiency in basic math involving money, weight, volume, and distance.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and cross-train in related functions.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
