Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Lead pharmaceutical care delivery as an Interim Pharmacy Operations Manager in a dynamic 250-bed hospital in Northern California. This contract role offers an immediate start with a 3 to 6-month assignment, ideal for an experienced pharmacy leader ready to drive excellence in operations and team management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing clinical, financial, administrative, and information systems within the pharmacy to ensure efficient, compliant operations.
  • Planning, organizing, and coordinating workflow to optimize service delivery.
  • Hiring, training, and mentoring pharmacy staff to develop a high-performing team.
  • Serving as the primary liaison between pharmacy management, physicians, and hospital personnel.
  • Upholding compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Leveraging hospital and community resources to address operational needs effectively.
  • Assuming the responsibilities of the Director of Pharmacy as needed during their absence.

Desired Experience:

  • Significant leadership experience within a pharmacy setting, demonstrating the ability to manage complex operations.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven skills in staff development, communication, and workflow management.
