Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Wilmington, DE. This full-time, onsite opportunity allows you to provide specialized instruction and support to students while working alongside educators, families, and school staff to create a supportive and successful learning environment.
This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional development throughout the school year.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
35 Hours per Week
August 25, 2026 – June 8, 2027
Onsite School-Based Setting
Student Age Group Based on Teacher Preference
Qualifications:
Valid Delaware Special Education Teacher License required
Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
Ability to provide individualized instruction based on student needs
Commitment to supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, and functional needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Delaware state standards
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide individualized and small-group academic support
Implement appropriate accommodations, modifications, and interventions
Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Create a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Support students based on their individual learning needs and educational goals
