Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An interim leadership opportunity is available to oversee pharmacy operations at a 250-bed hospital in Northern California. This role reports to the Director of Pharmacy and is critical in ensuring the efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care across clinical, financial, administrative, and information systems domains.
Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling pharmacy workflow to support seamless operations. This involves hiring, training, and supervising staff while fostering effective communication with the Pharmacy Management team, physicians, and hospital personnel. The role also ensures strict compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations and leverages hospital and community resources to fulfill operational demands. Additionally, the incumbent will perform the Director of Pharmacy’s duties during their absence.
This position offers a contract assignment with an immediate start and a duration of 3 to 6 months, ideal for an experienced pharmacy leader ready to drive high-impact results within a dynamic hospital setting.
