CHILD ABUSE PEDIATRICIAN

Position Available in Roseville, California

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE EXPECTED TO:

• Offer specialized consultations for cases involving suspected child abuse.

• Be available for TCS and provide support to outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department providers throughout the region.

• Enhance outcomes for pediatric patients and elevate the quality of care for those assessed for potential child maltreatment.

• Engage in teleconsultation and be open to travel as the role evolves.

THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

• Joining a team of two existing physicians along with a regional nurse case manager.

• Collaborating closely with a local interdisciplinary team, which consists of a dedicated social worker, medical assistant, and program manager.

• Working alongside physician child abuse advocates and their teams at various medical centers, while integrating into the medical center workflow.

• Cooperating with specific county agencies.

• Referring evidentiary child sexual abuse examinations externally.

• Providing on-call consultations (via phone or in-person) outside of standard clinic hours, shared with the CASP physician team.

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics, or significant clinical experience in the field, including consultation and multidisciplinary collaboration.

• Eligibility to obtain a California medical license or currently licensed to practice in California.
