Quality Assurance

The ideal candidate will have experience in food manufacturing QA, GMP compliance, and lab testing and a proven ability to verify product and process compliance to food safety and quality specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Execute GMP, food safety, and security enforcement across assigned areas.
• Verify compliance to food safety policies, procedures, and specifications.
• Perform Milk Receiving checks: paperwork, sampling, temperature, butterfat, acidity, pH, and organoleptic evaluation.
• Conduct Ingredient/Kettle checks and release: paperwork, temperature, salt, Brix, pH, viscosity, RS View kettle release, and organoleptic evaluation.
• Support Filler operations: paperwork, temperature, metal detector and X-ray verification, seal testing, code checks, weight checks, and retain sample collection.
• Support Packing operations: paperwork, temperature, code and labeling checks, packaging evaluation, and organoleptic evaluation.
• Execute microbiological and lab testing: water and listeria sample collection, plating and incubation for milk, eggs, shelf life, and environmental samples.
• Perform pre-operation checks: paperwork, ATP and allergen swabbing, magnet checks, cooler checks, and sanitizer concentration verification.
• Document results accurately and escalate nonconformances. Place items on hold as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in food manufacturing QA, lab testing, and quality systems.
• Ability to comprehend science-based material and apply algebraic calculations.
• Effective communication with associates, leads, supervisors, and production management.
• Detail orientation and teamwork capabilities. Willingness to work extended shifts.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with metal detector and X-ray verification in food environments.
• Familiarity with RS View or similar kettle enabling systems.
