The University of Kansas Health Systems Department of Radiology is responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care within the physicians designated area of clinical specialization. These positions are responsible for the interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies, collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and provision of expert consultation to support accurate diagnosis, clinical decision-making, and comprehensive treatment planning.

\n

These positions are jointly employed by The University of Kansas Medical Center and The University of Kansas Health System and are expected to contribute to and advance the clinical, educational, research, and service missions of both institutions. The physician will uphold the highest standards of professional practice, patient care, academic excellence, and institutional service.

\n In addition to clinical responsibilities, faculty members actively participate in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees. The individual also contributes to departmental and divisional academic activities through teaching, scholarly engagement, committee service, and other activities that advance the missions of the department, division, and institution.

\n

Job Duties

\n
    \n
  • Provide specialized clinical, educational, and/or research services within area of expertise using current, evidence-based practices and techniques
  • \n
  • Deliver comprehensive services across clinical settings, classroom environments, or a combination thereof
  • \n
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams, research groups, academic programs, and institutional partners to support patient care, program development, innovation, and scholarly activity
  • \n
  • Contribute to the education, training, and mentorship of learners, including students, trainees, and other designated groups
  • \n
  • Participate in departmental and divisional meetings, case conferences, teaching rounds, seminars, and other academic activities
  • \n
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain expertise in their area of specialization, including clinical practice, procedural skills, teaching, and/or research focus

Required Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • MD or DO (or equivalent)
  • \n
  • Completion of ACGME-accredited Radiology Residency
  • \n
  • ABR board certified/board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
  • \n
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
  • \n
\n
