Procurement Clerk/AP Specialist

💰 $21–$26/hr
📅 Monday–Friday | Temp-to-Perm
Are you a Accounting / Procurement expert? Join a growing team in Bakersfield! This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Accounts Payable experience who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with vendors and multiple departments.
What We're Looking For:
MUST HAVE 2 years of recent Accounts Payable or Procurement experience
AA Degree in Accounting preferred
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication
Professional and courteous communication with employees, vendors, and business partners
What You'll Do:
Create and maintain a high volume of purchase orders
Process and follow up on unapproved invoices
Manage all day-to-day activities within the full payment cycle and provide timely, professional
service to internal stakeholders and vendors
Review all invoices, check requests, and payment documents; date-stamp, verify accuracy, and
identify incomplete information requiring follow-up
Process, track, and reconcile payments and expenditures, including purchase orders,
statements, reimbursements, vendor credits, and checks, in compliance with company policies
and procedures.
Assist with auditing and reviewing financial documentation
Serve as a liaison between Operations and Accounting to resolve purchase order-related issues
Maintain accurate records and ensure processes follow company guidelines and compliance requirements
Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
⭐ Strong AP candidates are encouraged to apply! Procurement/PO experience is preferred, but candidates with solid AP experience who are eager to learn the procurement side will be considered.
