Adecco is recruiting for a Toolmaker for a client in Syracuse, NY. This is a direct-hire position, paying $25-35/hour depending on experience.

This role is ideal for an experienced machinist or toolmaker who enjoys hands-on, precision work - not just running production. You’ll be working on custom tooling, prototypes, and specialized components in a clean, modern manufacturing environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Set up and operate manual machines including lathe, mill, and grinder

  • Machine and fabricate precision parts from prints, sketches, or verbal direction

  • Build and modify tooling to support production and R&D needs

  • Perform bench work and hand finishing as needed

  • Work with tight tolerances and high-quality standards

  • Support custom, one-off, and prototype work - not repetitive production

  • Maintain equipment and keep work area clean and organized

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of machining or toolmaking experience preferred

  • Strong experience with manual machining equipment

  • Ability to work from prints, sketches, or verbal instructions

  • Experience working with various metals (stainless, copper, etc.)

  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail

Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
