Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist seeking professional growth and the potential for partial ownership within a company. This contract-to-hire position is based in Antioch, TN, and ideal for a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and multiple state pharmacist licenses—or the willingness to acquire them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care tailored to patients with hemophilia, immune deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, and other conditions requiring infused therapies.
- Manage specialized treatments, including factor replacement therapies, emicizumab, and various subcutaneous and IV infusions for chronic conditions.
- Educate patients and families on medication administration, side effect management, adherence strategies, and medication safety in home settings.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and care coordinators.
- Partner with reimbursement specialists to navigate insurance plans, secure prior authorizations, and assist patients in accessing financial assistance programs.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Tennessee pharmacist license is required.
- Arkansas pharmacist license or commitment to obtain within the first 90 days.
- Experience with CareTend software is highly preferred; training is available.
- Willingness to pursue additional state licenses to meet multi-state practice needs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a low-volume, specialized pharmacy environment.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
