Job Summary

This role involves monitoring heartbeat patterns using electrocardiograph (EKG) devices to identify any irregular heart rhythms. You will assist physicians in emergency situations related to cardiac issues. Responsibilities include:

• Observing EKG monitors to detect abnormal heart rhythm variations
• Recognizing emergencies and promptly notifying physicians for immediate action
• Recording the heart's electrical activity with EKG equipment and ensuring the quality of the recordings
• Ordering and managing necessary supplies
• Generating EKG reports that detail a patient’s cardiovascular status for physician review and diagnosis

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

While certification as a Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT), Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring certification (CRAT), or National Telemetry Certification (from the National Telemetry Association) is encouraged, it is not required. Preference will be given to candidates with Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
