Responsibilities
  • The Registered Nurse operates under the guidance of the Nurse Director/Manager, ensuring the safe delivery of patient care for a variety of patient populations.
  • The RN evaluates the needs of patients and their families, formulates and prioritizes patient objectives, assesses care delivery, and continuously updates the care plan to address the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of patients and their families.
  • The RN delegates care responsibilities as necessary to enhance patient outcomes.
  • The RN complies with the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in nursing.
  • Valid Kansas RN Licensure.
  • BLS certification must be acquired within 14 days of hire or transfer into the position and before providing direct patient care.
  • Telemetry, ICU, and PCU roles require ACLS certification.
  • Post-Surgery roles necessitate oncology certification.
  • All mandatory certifications must be completed within the first year of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • A minimum of one year of recent experience in a comparable healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
