About the Position
Our Heart & Vascular Institute is looking for a full-time interventional cardiologist to join our growing team. The selected candidate will hold a clinical academic position and provide interventional services at our UPMC Jameson site. Collaborating with interventional colleagues in Pittsburgh, we offer 24/7 STEMI coverage. Procedures include diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), cardioversions, temporary and permanent pacemaker placements, intra-aortic balloon pump insertions, as well as peripheral angiograms and interventions performed by vascular surgery. Currently, our team at UPMC Jameson includes four full-time cardiologists (two interventionalists and two non-invasive cardiologists), with plans to expand to six, supported by ten advanced practice providers (APPs) across two suburban areas near Pittsburgh. Additionally, we have part-time services from four electrophysiologists (including a pacemaker clinic), a heart failure specialist, three vascular surgeons, one thoracic surgeon, and one cardiothoracic surgeon. Our outpatient office in New Castle is located within UPMC Jameson, which also houses a full range of diagnostic services, including two catheterization labs. HVI Horizon-Greenville is situated within UPMC Horizon Greenville, while HVI Horizon-Shenango is located directly across from UPMC Horizon Shenango.
