Position Overview:
\nNocturnist Physician to join our overnight care team. Working as part of a two-physician nocturnist team, this role focuses on admitting patients, consulting on cases, and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care during nighttime hours. Nocturnists play a key role in supporting the hospital's overnight operations while collaborating with emergency department physicians, nurse practitioners, utilization management, and bedside clinical staff to provide exceptional care.

\nKey Responsibilities:

Admit 8-12 patients per shift and provide consultative services for hospitalized patients, ensuring timely and accurate assessments.
\n - \n
Deliver high-quality patient care with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
\n - \n
Complete thorough documentation and accurate CPT coding/billing on the date of service to maintain revenue cycle integrity.
\n - \n
Collaborate closely with the emergency department, AIM CNPs, and other clinical staff to ensure smooth patient transitions and continuity of care.
\n - \n
Assist with cross-coverage for inpatients in collaboration with AIM nurse practitioners, providing clinical support and answering questions as needed.
\n - \n
Respond to rapid responses, working as a team with bedside staff to provide timely and effective care.
\n - \n
Closed ICU - no procedures required.
\n
Qualifications:
\n* Medical Degree
\n* Ohio State Medical Licensure (or ability to obtain)
\n* Current Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
\n* Current BLS / ACLS Certificate (or ability to obtained)
