Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Working hours : Monday to Friday Days Location: BroughSalary: £38,000-£42,000 Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with an established process and manufacturing business to recruit a Days Maintenance Engineer .This is a permanent, Monday to Friday position for someone who enjoys being hands-on, solving mechanical problems and keeping plant and equipment performing reliably. The role has a strong mechanical focus, covering planned and reactive maintenance across a varied operational site. You will work on equipment including pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, tanks and associated process equipment, with welding and fabrication also forming part of the role.The Opportunity: As a Days Maintenance Engineer you’ll play a key role in:\n

- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance, identifying faults and completing effective repairs. \n
- Maintaining and improving pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, tanks, motors and other mechanical and process equipment. \n
- Using your welding and fabrication skills to repair, modify and support equipment, components and installations around the site. \n
- Responding to breakdowns, helping identify root causes and supporting practical improvements that increase equipment reliability. \n
- Working closely with operations and the wider engineering team to prioritise maintenance safely and minimise disruption to production. \n

- A mechanical engineering background gained within manufacturing, production, process engineering, heavy industry or a similarly hands-on environment. \n
- Practical experience of mechanical fault finding, maintenance and repair across industrial plant and equipment. \n
- Experience working with equipment such as pumps, valves, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, tanks or similar mechanical systems. \n
- Ideally Welding and fabrication experience, whether developed through maintenance, fabrication, installation or site-based engineering work. Candidates looking to build on a strong fabrication background and develop further within maintenance are also encouraged to apply. \n
- An engineering qualification or equivalent practical industrial/manufacturing experience. \n

- Monday to Friday working with no nights or weekends \n
