Title: AV Technical Support EngineerLocation: West YorkshireSalary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annumHours: Full Time, Permanent - Monday to Friday Are you an experienced AV professional who enjoys solving technical problems but is ready for a role that offers more time behind the desk and less time travelling from site to site? We are recruiting on behalf of a successful specialist technology business that delivers professional AV and collaboration solutions to customers across a range of sectors. They're looking for an AV Technical Support Engineer to join their team and provide remote technical support, troubleshooting and guidance to customers. This is predominantly a desk based role, with occasional travel to customer sites when additional hands on support is required. It could be an ideal move for someone currently working as an AV Installation Engineer, AV Service Engineer, AV Field Engineer or AV Technician who has built strong technical knowledge on the tools and is now looking for a better work life balance without stepping away from the AV industry.What will you be doing? You'll become a key technical point of contact for customers, using your existing AV knowledge to diagnose issues, provide solutions and ensure systems remain operational. Your day to day responsibilities will include:\n

- Providing remote technical support to customers experiencing AV and collaboration technology issues. \n
- Troubleshooting systems, identifying faults and working methodically through problems to reach effective solutions. \n
- Supporting customers with equipment, connectivity, configuration and system-related queries. \n
- Taking ownership of support cases from initial diagnosis through to resolution. \n
- Using your practical AV knowledge to understand issues that may otherwise be difficult to diagnose remotely. \n
- Working with customers to talk through technical issues clearly and confidently, sometimes supporting non-technical users. \n
- Liaising with internal technical teams, suppliers and manufacturers where further investigation or escalation is required. \n
- Maintaining accurate records of support cases, technical issues and resolutions. \n
- Carrying out proactive system checks and preventative maintenance where required. \n
- Supporting system implementations, customer onboarding and technical improvement projects. \n
- Attending customer sites on an ad-hoc basis where an issue requires additional hands-on technical support. \n

- Previous experience working within the AV / audio visual industry. \n
- Practical experience installing, configuring, servicing or troubleshooting AV equipment and systems. \n
- The ability to understand technical issues and work logically towards a solution. \n
- Good knowledge of workplace AV and/or collaboration technology. \n
- Strong customer service and communication skills. \n
- The confidence to provide technical support remotely and talk customers through solutions. \n
- Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple support cases. \n
- A willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites when required. \n
