\n Our client, a well-established care home provider within the healthcare and care home sector, based in Cheltenham, has an exciting new opportunity for a Second Chef to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis due to continued growth and increasing resident demand.
\n The successful Second Chef should have:
\n ·Previous experience working within a commercial kitchen environment
\n ·Experience of, or a good understanding of, care home dietary requirements and nutritional needs
\n ·A current DBS or willingness to undertake one.
\n ·A City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent professional catering qualification
\n ·Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance standards
\n ·The ability to work collaboratively whilst supporting and leading a small kitchen team
\n In this role, the Second Chef will be responsible for:
\n ·Preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for residents
\n ·Working closely with the Head Chef to deliver restaurant-quality food and dining experiences
\n ·Supporting the day-to-day management of the kitchen and assisting with team supervision
\n ·Ensuring all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are maintained
\n ·Working a flexible rota, including alternate weekends, whilst maintaining excellent service standards
\n Our client is offering the successful Second Chef a salary in the region of £28,000 - £34,540 per annum, plus benefits including:
