\nWe have an amazing opportunity for Maintenance Manager to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, our specialist centre in Kent, we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition.
\nSet within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.

\nWhat you'll be working:

- Full Time \n
- 5 hours per week \n
- Working 5 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays \n
- Shift patterns in line with service requirements \n
This is far more than managing day-to-day maintenance.
\nYou'll lead the Estates function, taking ownership of everything from statutory compliance and Planned Preventative Maintenance to refurbishment projects, contractor management and the continuous improvement of our estate.
\nYou'll work closely with clinical, operational and support teams to ensure every environment is safe, compliant, efficient and maintained to the highest possible standard. Whether you're planning future improvements, preparing for a CQC inspection, solving complex operational challenges or delivering projects that transform our sites, your work will have a direct impact on the experience of everyone who walks through our doors.
\nMost importantly, you'll have the opportunity to influence how our estate develops as Active Neuro continues to evolve.
\nSalary - £27,000 to £33,000 depending on experince.
\nWhat you'll be doing:
\n- \n
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the building including painting and decorating, repairs to fixtures and fittings and furniture, routine testing of the security and Fire Detection equipment, Emergency Lighting and Fire Exits, monitoring of gas and electricity systems, water systems and sewage systems, carrying our safety inspections on electrical equipment and maintaining inventory records for the same. \n
- To carry out role in accordance with the Estates manual and all policies and procedures. \n
- Responsible for the safety of the building and carrying out regular audits and inspections. \n
- Line manages the maintenance team ensuring roles are carried out safely and in a timely manner. \n
- With the Registered Manager ensure that the physical environment is safe, comfortable, and accessible to all patients / residents / young people, visitors and colleagues. \n
- Take personal responsibility for ensuring that ACG resources are used efficiently and with minimum wastage. \n
- Make sure colleagues are aware of the mechanisms for speaking up in ACG and act where required. \n
- Maintain their own training compliance with and ensure they are up to date with regulatory standards. \n
- Adherence to all Group policies and procedures and ensuring that all colleagues in the service are aware of and understand company policies. \n
What we're looking for:

\nYou'll ideally have experience leading maintenance, estates or facilities teams within healthcare, hospitality or another regulated environment, together with a strong understanding of statutory compliance, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), contractor management and Health & Safety.
\nWhat we would like from you:

- Experience leading maintenance, estates or facilities teams within healthcare, hospitality, residential or another regulated environment. \n
- A strong understanding of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), statutory compliance, Health & Safety and contractor management. \n
- Experience managing compliance programmes, maintenance budgets, specialist contractors and estate improvement projects. \n
- Good technical knowledge across multiple building maintenance disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety and general building fabric. \n
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining the highest operational standards. \n
- A proactive, practical and solution-focused approach, with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement. \n
