Class 2 Multi-Drop Delivery DriverLocation: Darwen, BlackburnSalary: £34,000 basic £1,200 accident-free bonus competitive annual discretionary bonus benefitsHours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am4:15pmPermanent No regular weekend workThe OpportunityOur client is a leading distributor of thermoplastic sheet, rod and tubing, supplying customers across the fabrication, engineering and signage industries.Backed by a global manufacturer of acrylic products, they offer a stable, professional working environment with excellent staff retention and strong long-term opportunities.Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Class 2 Multi-Drop Delivery Driver to join the team at their Darwen distribution centre.The RoleThis is a predominantly North West multi-drop role, typically completing around 1015 deliveries per day .Responsibilities will include:Completing multi-drop customer deliveries safely and efficientlyDelivering thermoplastic sheet, rod and tubingLoading and securing the vehicle correctlyAssisting with unloading at customer sitesProviding a professional and helpful service to customersCarrying out daily vehicle checksOperating the tachograph system correctlyReporting damages, discrepancies or delivery issuesMaintaining a clean and presentable vehicleAssisting with warehouse and loading activities where requiredFollowing all company Health & Safety proceduresThe products can involve manual handling , so applicants should be comfortable with a physically active delivery role.Route CoverageRoutes primarily cover the North West , with occasional journeys to Scotland, generally around once or twice per month, which can involve an overnight stay in a sleeper cab.A £35 night-out allowance is payable for sleeper-cab overnight stays.Flexibility around overnight travel may be considered for the right candidate.What Were Looking ForValid Class 2 / Category C licenceDriver CPCMinimum 12 months HGV driving experiencePrevious multi-drop experience preferredExperience driving 18-tonne vehiclesGood understanding of tachograph and drivers hours requirementsProfessional and customer-focused approachReliable and well organisedComfortable with manual handlingClean driving licence preferredSalary & Benefits£34,000 basic salary£100 per month accident-free bonus £1,200 per yearTotal fixed earnings potential of £35,200 before annual bonus and overtimeCompetitive annual discretionary bonus linked to company, branch and individual performanceOvertime paid at time and a quarter£35 sleeper-cab night-out allowance25 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysCompany pension contribution match 2%Holiday purchase schemeFree on-site parkingMonday-to-Friday workingStable and supportive working environmentIf you are an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for a secure Monday-to-Friday position within an established business, wed love to hear from you.Apply today with your CV.TPBN1_UKTJ
