Shift Length: Typically around 8 hoursWe are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to join a busy and well-established waste management operation based in Woolwich .The role involves working on the offensive waste collection side , carrying out refuse removal and waste collection services for commercial customers.?? The RoleDriving a Class 2 HGV as part of a commercial waste collection operationCollecting and removing offensive waste from customer sitesCarrying out refuse removal and waste collection routesVisiting multiple commercial customer locations throughout the dayWorking safely and efficiently in line with company proceduresCompleting daily vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and safeFollowing allocated routes and collection schedulesProviding a professional service when dealing with customersTypically working around 8-hour days?? The WorkThis is a hands-on commercial waste collection role , so drivers must be comfortable working in a refuse and waste environment and carrying out regular manual handling.Previous experience in waste collection, refuse removal, HGV driving or similar work would be advantageous, although relevant Class 2 driving experience will be considered.? RequirementsValid Class 2 (Category C) licenceValid CPC and Digital TachographPrevious Class 2 driving experienceComfortable working in a hands-on waste/refuse environmentPhysically fit and comfortable with manual handlingReliable, punctual and professionalGood customer service skillsAble to follow routes, schedules and company proceduresGood knowledge of UK roads?
