Financial ControllerUpperton Pharma Solutions is a Nottingham-based CDMO that specialises in the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical products, providing a complete service from early-stage feasibility to GMP clinical manufacture. Formulations cover a range of delivery routes, typically including oral (tablets & capsules), nasal and inhaled.We are entering an exciting phase of growth with the development of our new 7,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art sterile manufacturing facility, designed and built in full alignment with the latest EU GMP Annex 1 (2023) requirements.Due to our growth, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Financial Controller to lead our finance function and support the continued growth of the business.This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls, managing cash flow, and paternity with senior leaders to support strategic decision-making.This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role within a growing business, working closely with senior leadership to influence strategy, improve performance and build a best-in-class finance function. Youll have the opportunity to make a significant impact while leading and developing a high performing team.Main duties and responsibilities:Own and manage the monthly management accounts process, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reportingPrepare and present financial reports, variance analysis and business performance insights to the CFO and senior leadership teamMonitoring and assessing operational and other business workflows from a financial perspective for better ROI, KPIs and efficiencyLead the year-end audit process and statutory reporting requirements.Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsManage cash flow, treasury activities, VAT returns, payroll oversight, debtor collections and supplier paymentsSupport annual budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling activitiesPartner with Directors and department leaders to support commercial decision-making and business performanceLead, develop and mentor the finance team, ensuring high levels of performance and accuracyEssential skills and experience:ACA, ACCA, ACMA, along with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldExtensive experience in accounting and finance, management accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis at Financial Controller levelProficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP)software, financial modelling, data analytics, and reporting toolsStrong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to manage teams and collaborate with executivesSector experience desirable but not essentialExperience of a PE-backed or investor backed environment is desirableWhat you will get in returnWe offer employees not only a competitive salary but also an excellent suite of benefits including:30 days holiday and your birthday off!Company contributory pension packageLife insuranceUpperton Rewards discount platform through reward gatewayPrivate Medical Insurance through VitalityInternal and external training courses and professional development supportFree onsite car parkingWe know it is the little things that make every day special, so we also organise employee events for you to attend throughout the year, like our annual Christmas party, summer party and charity fund raising events.TPBN1_UKTJ
