Physiotherapist (Oncology) - Cardiff Band: 6 or 7 Job Title: Physiotherapist Location: University Hospital Wales, Cardiff Contract Type: Locum Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday Locum Role: ASAP - January 2027, extensions possible An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Acute Oncology Service (AOS) at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. This is a rewarding role within a specialist multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with cancer through early assessment, intervention, and discharge planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping to prevent hospital admissions where appropriate and ensuring patients receive timely rehabilitation and support to optimise outcomes and facilitate safe discharge home. Essential Criteria: We are looking for a Physiotherapist with: Physiotherapy degree (BSc) or diploma. HCPC Registration. Strong acute inpatient physiotherapy experience and the ability to manage acutely unwell patients. Excellent complex discharge planning skills. Experience working with oncology or cancer patients is highly desirable.
