Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Siemens, CongletonContract: Ongoing Contract - 6 months initialHours: 37.5 hours per week (8-hour shifts)Pay Rate: £18.90 per hour PAYE (depending on experience)Start Date: ASAPAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance team at Siemens in Congleton. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically and mechanically minded engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about reliability, continuous improvement, and emerging technologies.As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment through effective fault finding, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesBreakdown RecoveryLead rapid electrical and mechanical diagnostics and repairs.Minimise production downtime through effective troubleshooting and problem resolution.Safety & ComplianceCarry out Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.Undertake dynamic risk assessments for all maintenance activities.Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and compliance requirements.Reliability & Root Cause AnalysisConduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and eliminate recurring failures.Accurately record maintenance activities and findings within the CMMS system.Support plant reliability improvements through data-driven decision making.Predictive MaintenanceUtilise AI-driven monitoring systems and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.Support the transition from reactive maintenance to a proactive maintenance culture.Continuous ImprovementDevelop and deliver technical 'One Point Lessons'.Support energy efficiency and sustainability projects.Contribute to Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.Skills & Experience RequiredTechnical SkillsStrong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.Methodical approach to diagnostics and problem solving.Good PC literacy and experience using maintenance management systems.PLC knowledge would be advantageous.Manufacturing & Industry KnowledgeUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.Knowledge of 7S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).Interest in Industry 4.0 technologies, including Robotics, Data Analytics, and AI-integrated systems.QualificationsHNC/HND in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.Personal AttributesSelf-motivated and organised.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Flexible approach to working patterns, including weekends, overtime, shift rotations, and occasional night shifts.Rates & OvertimeStandard Rate: £18.90 per hour PAYE (dependent on experience)Weekday Overtime: 133% (Time and One Third)Saturday: 150% (Time and a Half)Sunday: 200% (Double Time)Night Shift Premium: +50%Compliance RequirementsSuccessful applicants will be required to provide:Full 5-year employment historyRight to work documentationAny additional site-specific compliance documentation as requiredApply NowIf you are an experienced Maintenance Technician looking to join a world-class manufacturing environment where innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement are at the forefront, we would love to hear from you.Apply today to start your next opportunity at Siemens in Congleton.Rullion celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants.TPBN1_UKTJ
