Senior Quantity Surveyor

Im currently working across permanent commercial opportunities with established contractors across Yorkshire and the wider North, covering projects across healthcare, education, residential, commercial and high-end fit-out. If youre actively looking - or simply interested in understanding whats happening in the market - Id be happy to have a confidential conversation. - The opportunity Depending on the project and employer, youll be responsible for areas including: Full commercial management of live construction projects Cost planning, forecasting and financial reporting Subcontract procurement and management Valuations, variations and change control Final accounts Tender and pre-construction involvement Commercial reporting to senior management Working closely with project delivery and client teams - Experience were looking for 5+ years quantity surveying / commercial experience, depending on level Experience with a main contractor, specialist contractor or fit-out business Proven experience managing projects commercially from procurement through to final account Strong subcontractor procurement and account management experience Experience across valuations, variations, forecasting and cost reporting Experience working on projects of £5m+ preferred Ability to work independently while contributing to the wider commercial team - Qualifications & technical capability Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline Working knowledge of JCT, NEC or both RICS / MRICS desirable, but not essential unless required by the specific employer Full UK driving licence where the role requires travel
