UK thriving, independent cost consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work on high-profile projects across sectors including commercial, residential, hospitality, life sciences, and mixed-use development. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will take the lead on a number of key commissions, managing projects from early feasibility and cost planning through to procurement, construction, and final account. You will act as a trusted commercial advisor to clients, provide clear strategic guidance, and ensure projects remain financially controlled throughout their lifecycle. This role would suit a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor who enjoys leading projects, building strong client relationships, and supporting junior colleagues. It offers a genuine opportunity to gain greater influence, broaden your project exposure, and progress within a collaborative consultancy environment. Senior Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities: Leading cost management commissions from inception through to completion Preparing cost plans, estimates, budgets, and commercial strategies Managing procurement processes, tender documentation, and contractor evaluations Overseeing valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts Producing detailed financial reports and advising clients on project risk Chairing commercial meetings and coordinating with design and delivery teams Mentoring junior surveyors and supporting their professional development Senior Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline Strong experience within a UK consultancy environment Proven ability to manage projects independently across pre- and post-contract stages Sound knowledge of JCT contracts and common procurement routes Strong client-facing, communication, and leadership skills MRICS qualified or nearing completion of the APC Commercially focused with excellent attention to detail In Return: £70,000-£80,000 per annum 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays Hybrid and flexible working arrangements Pension scheme Private healthcare Professional membership fees paid Ongoing training and leadership development Clear progression towards Associate level Exposure to major projects across London If you are a Senior Quantity Surveyor considering your career opportunities, then please contact Dan McEvoy at Brandon James.
