Finance Manager - Part-Time

Fully Remote / Norwich | 12-Month Fixed Term Contract | £28,000 - £30,000

I'm pleased to be supporting a growing, forward-thinking business in Norwich with the appointment of an experienced Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term basis, providing maternity cover.

This is a genuinely flexible opportunity, offering 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday mornings. The role would suit an experienced finance professional looking to maintain a senior-level position while working reduced hours.

You'll take ownership of the finance function, working closely with senior leadership and overseeing everything from day-to-day financial operations and payroll through to management accounts, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis. You'll also have support from a Finance Assistant.

The Role

• Oversee the day-to-day finance function and ensure key deadlines are met

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial commentary
\n
• Manage cash flow forecasting, banking and payment processes
\n
• Lead budgeting and forecasting activity
\n
• Oversee UK payroll and VAT compliance
\n
• Provide commercial financial insight to senior stakeholders
\n
• Maintain strong financial controls and identify process improvements
\n
• Review and support the work of a Finance Assistant
\n
• Liaise with external advisers and support statutory reporting
\n

About You

We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience managing a broad finance function within an SME environment. You'll need strong hands-on experience across management accounts, payroll, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting, alongside excellent Excel and Xero skills.
