Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer PC-DMISSalary: £20.00 per hour Overtime: Paid at 1.5x Shift: Permanent DaysWorking HoursMondayThursday: 07:3016:302 x 10-minute paid breaks30-minute unpaid lunch breakFriday: 07:3012:30Additional overtime may be required when workload demands.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer to join an established inspection team within a precision engineering/manufacturing environment.The successful candidate must have hands-on experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS , with the ability to create new inspection programs for new components directly from CAD models .Alongside CMM programming, you will carry out dimensional inspection of manufactured components, interpret engineering drawings and support the wider quality and inspection function.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramme and operate CMM machines using PC-DMISCreate new CMM inspection programmes from 3D CAD modelsCarry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of manufactured componentsInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances and GD&TInspect components using CMMs and conventional measuring equipmentProduce and review dimensional inspection reportsIdentify and report non-conforming componentsSupport investigations into quality issues and manufacturing defectsWork closely with production and engineering teams to resolve dimensional or quality concernsMaintain accurate inspection and quality recordsSupport the wider inspection team and complete additional overtime when requiredSkills & ExperienceEssential:Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, CMM Programmer or CMM InspectorStrong experience programming CMMs using PC-DMISAble to create CMM programmes for new parts from CAD modelsConfident reading and interpreting engineering drawingsGood understanding of dimensional tolerances and GD&TExperience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges and bore gaugesExperience inspecting precision-engineered or machined componentsDesirable:Background within CNC machining, precision engineering, aerospace, automotive or another high-tolerance manufacturing environmentExperience with first article inspection / FAIRsKnowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100PackageEarly finish on FridaysOvertime available at 1.5x rateOpportunity to join an experienced engineering inspection teamFree on site parkingBenefits:Free parkingOn-site parkingTPBN1_UKTJ
