In a nutshellAs a Senior Financial Planner, you'll provide high-quality, compliant financial advice to a diverse portfolio of clients, helping them achieve their long-term financial goals. You'll combine technical expertise with strong relationship-building skills, identifying new opportunities, winning new business, and contributing to the growth and success of the wider regional team.Alongside managing your own client portfolio, you'll support colleagues, mentor junior team members, and help drive continuous improvement across our financial planning business.This role supports both our Salisbury and Poole offices. The successful candidate will be contracted to their nearest Francis Clark Financial Planning office and will typically spend around two days per week in both Salisbury and Poole. Travel to the non-contractual office will be reimbursed in accordance with our expenses policy.What you'll be doing day to dayManaging and developing a portfolio of high-value and complex clientsDelivering tailored financial planning advice across areas such as: retirement planning, investment planning, tax-efficient wealth management, estate and succession planningBuilding lasting client relationships and acting as a trusted adviserAchieving revenue, new business, and assets under advice (AUA) growth targetsDeveloping new business through networking, referrals, professional connections, and business development activitiesWorking closely with Paraplanners and Client Executives to deliver an outstanding client experienceSupporting the Regional Leader in driving team performance and strategic growthMentoring and supporting junior Financial Planners and contributing to their developmentIdentifying opportunities to improve processes, embrace technology, and enhance operational efficiencyMaintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and professional conductAbout youWe're looking for an experienced Financial Planner who combines excellent technical expertise with commercial awareness and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their goals.You'll ideally have:Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) or higherProven experience delivering regulated financial advice to complex and high-net-worth clientsStrong knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirementsA successful track record of winning new business and growing client relationshipsExperience developing solutions across tax, retirement, investment, and estate planningStrong networking and business development capabilitiesExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsA collaborative, client-focused approachStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExperience using financial planning software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applicationsWhy work at PKF Francis ClarkAs the largest firm of independent chartered accountants and business advisers in South West England, PKF Francis Clark offers a wide range of opportunities to develop your career in the way thats right for you.Established in 1919, weve grown to nearly 1,000 people across offices in Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Poole, Salisbury, Southampton, Taunton, Torquay and Truro.
