TEKNIKAL Specialist Recruitment are working with a well-established, family-run business in Redbourn that is experiencing continued growth. As a result, we are now looking to recruit a skilled Heavy Plant Fitter to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with a strong mechanical background to work on a wide range of specialist heavy plant machinery in both workshop and field-based environments.

You will be responsible for:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs
\n
• Diagnosing faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
\n
• Providing breakdown support when required
\n
• Maintaining accurate service records
\n
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
\n

\n
• Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter or Plant Mechanic, with hands-on expertise working on equipment such as forklifts (FLT), dumper trucks, loading shovels, and excavators.
\n
• Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and hydraulic systems
\n
• Knowledge of diesel engines and plant equipment
\n
• Ability to work independently and within a team
\n
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
\n
