Cnc Operator

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience in both turning and milling operations who is looking to work within a modern engineering environment.

The successful candidate will have strong experience working with Sliding Head CNC machines, Mazak equipment, and Fanuc controls, with the ability to programme, set, and operate machinery to produce high-quality precision components.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC machinery to produce precision-engineered components.
\n
• Work with Sliding Head CNC machines and Mazak machining centres.
\n
• Utilise Fanuc control systems to create and modify programmes as required.
\n
• Operate and set CNC lathes and CNC vertical milling machines.
\n
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
\n
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure components meet tolerances and customer requirements.
\n
• Perform routine machine maintenance and tooling changes.
\n
• Assist with process improvements to maximise efficiency and productivity.
\n
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to deliver work to schedule.
\n

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

\n
• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator.
\n
• Strong background in Sliding Head CNC machining.
\n
• Experience operating Mazak machinery.
\n
• Working knowledge of Fanuc controls.
\n
• Experience with CNC lathes and CNC vertical milling machines.
\n
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
\n
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
\n

Desirable

\n
• Experience using CAD software.
\n
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
\n
• Experience working within a precision engineering or aerospace environment.
\n
• Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues independently.
\n
