Youll receive comprehensive specialist training and ongoing support from an experienced renal team, making this a fantastic opportunity for an RGN looking to develop a new clinical specialism.Why This Role?This is community nursing built around quality over quantity.Rather than managing a busy ward or constantly moving between competing priorities, youll work with patients on a one-to-one basis in their own homes, giving you the time and autonomy to deliver the standard of care you were trained to provide.Youll build genuine relationships with your patients, support their independence and see the long-term impact your care has on their quality of life.Whats on Offer?£40,840 annual salaryPaid mileageStructured 5-day working week31 days annual leave plus your birthday offPrivate pensionPerformance-related bonusesComprehensive specialist training in peritoneal dialysisOngoing support from an experienced renal and clinical teamOpportunity to develop specialist skills within a growing area of community healthcareThe RoleAs a Community Nurse, youll provide specialist peritoneal dialysis care to patients across the BH and DT postcode areas, supporting them to receive safe, effective treatment without having to regularly attend hospital.Your responsibilities will include:Delivering Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD) and Manual Peritoneal DialysisConnecting and disconnecting dialysis equipment during home visitsMonitoring patients and supporting the safe delivery of treatmentEducating and supporting patients and their familiesWorking closely with hospital renal units and wider multidisciplinary teamsMaintaining accurate clinical documentationPromoting patient independence, dignity and confidence in managing care at homeWhat Were Looking ForTo be considered, youll need:Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualificationActive NMC registrationMinimum 2 years post-registration nursing experienceFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the BH and DT postcode areasConfidence working autonomously and managing your own workloadStrong communication and patient education skillsA genuine passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred careNo previous peritoneal dialysis experience? No problem.If youre an experienced RGN with the right clinical foundations and attitude, full specialist training will be provided.
