Kingston Barnes are recruiting for a hands-on engineer for our client to help keep their production facility operating safely, efficiently, and at peak performance.Working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, you'll play a vital role in maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns, delivering planned preventative maintenance, and driving continuous improvement across the site.Our client is the leading independently owned plant based drinks company in the UK.The RoleAs a Shift Engineer, you will:Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded using the CMMS.Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability.Support continuous improvement projects to improve plant reliability and efficiency.Promote high standards of health & safety, food safety and quality.Coach and support colleagues while contributing to a positive engineering culture.About YouStrong electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience.Previous experience within FMCG or food manufacturing (preferred).Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.A recognised engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HND or equivalent).Good organisational and communication skills.A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement and teamwork.Salary & Benefits£51,510.48Premium overtime rates4 on, 4 off shift pattern23 shift holidaysCompany pensionEnhanced company sick pay (subject to qualifying service)Life insuranceLong service awardsEmployee referral bonusEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Local business discountsFree hot drinks* Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply for this position *TPBN1_UKTJ
