\nAbout the Role
\nWe’re looking for a passionate Lecturer and Assessor to join our growing academic team. You’ll deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment for learners enrolled on Air Conditioning / Refrigeration installation and related qualifications, helping them gain the skills needed to succeed in the trade. This role is also suitable for somebody wishing to enter the education sector, an experienced engineer who wishes to pass on their knowledge. If this is the case, we will provide training and qualifications to get the right person up to speed and become a qualified training/assessor.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Deliver dynamic and engaging teaching sessions across a range of AC / Refrigeration training programmes. Including City & Guilds 2079 and some of our bespoke training courses (Full Training given where required) \n
- Conduct learner assessments, ensuring fairness and compliance with awarding body standards. \n
- Develop course materials and lesson plans that meet curriculum and learner needs. \n
- Monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and support progression. \n
- Participate in standardisation meetings and quality audits. \n
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations. \n
- Uphold the company’s safeguarding, equality, and health & safety policies. \n
The Ideal Candidate
\nYou’re a motivated professional with a passion for education and training, eager to inspire others and maintain the highest standards of teaching and assessment.
\nYou will ideally have (Or be willing to work towards ):
\n- \n
- Recognised teaching qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent). \n
- Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, D32/D33). \n
- Relevant electrical qualifications (FGas, Level 3 NVQ Diploma or equivalent). \n
- Proven experience in teaching or assessing within Airconditioning / Refrigeration training or a related field. \n
- Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills. \n
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- IQA qualification (V1 or equivalent). \n
- Experience in a private training provider or further education environment. \n
- Experience delivering hybrid or online teaching. \n
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and funding frameworks. \n
