Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a number of schools in the Salisbury area seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs
\n
• Support students with their academic, social and emotional development
\n
• Implement strategies to promote engagement and positive behaviour
\n
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
\n
• Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
\n

What You'll Need

Previous experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs A genuine passion for supporting children and young people Strong communication and relationship-building skills An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one The right to work in the UK

Desirable

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification Experience within a school, specialist provision or alternative setting

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must have previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs. Those holding a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification will be viewed favourably.
