About the Role\nAdecco are recruiting for a Mechanical Test Technician to join a leading engineering manufacturer in Gloucestershire.
\nThis is a hands-on role within a specialist testing and production environment, where you will be responsible for the preparation, rigging, testing and inspection of complex mechanical equipment. Working as part of an experienced operations team, you will ensure products meet required performance, safety and quality standards before final release.
\nThis opportunity would suit a mechanically skilled individual with experience in manufacturing, engineering, assembly, testing or rotating equipment environments.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Prepare and rig mechanical equipment for testing. \n
- Conduct performance and operational testing in line with documented procedures. \n
- Record, analyse and report test data accurately. \n
- Assess equipment against performance criteria and determine pass/fail status. \n
- Investigate and report any faults or non-conformances identified during testing. \n
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to resolve issues. \n
- Assist with witnessed inspections and acceptance testing when required. \n
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Health & Safety procedures. \n
- Maintain testing equipment and work areas to a high standard. \n
To be considered, you will ideally have:

- A recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience. \n
- At least 2 years' experience in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment. \n
- Strong mechanical assembly, fitting or testing skills. \n
- Experience following engineering procedures and technical documentation. \n
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. \n
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. \n
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn. \n
- \n
- Mechanical testing or inspection. \n
- Rotating equipment. \n
- Hydraulics, fluid systems or industrial machinery. \n
- Mechanical fitting or assembly. \n
- Quality inspection and test documentation. \n
