Job Description

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for an FP&A Analyst to join a high growth, private equity-backed business in Hull.

With ambitious plans to scale, strengthen operational performance and enhance reporting capabilities, the business is seeking a commercially minded FP&A Analyst to play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and driving performance across the organisation.

\n

Reporting directly to the CFO, this opportunity offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the chance to influence the future direction of a growing, investor-backed business.

The Role\n

The FP&A Analyst will support the CFO and wider leadership team by providing high-quality reporting, analysis and commercial insight to support business growth and performance.

\n

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing weekly and monthly management information and performance reporting.
  • \n
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, KPIs and reporting tools to improve business visibility.
  • \n
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting cycles.
  • \n
  • Delivering detailed variance analysis with meaningful commentary and recommendations.
  • \n
  • Analysing financial and operational data to identify key trends, risks and opportunities.
  • \n
  • Supporting scenario planning and financial modelling exercises.
  • \n
  • Working closely with operational stakeholders to improve reporting and performance management.
  • \n
The Ideal Candidate\n

You will be a highly analytical finance professional with strong communication skills and the ability to convert complex data into meaningful business insight.

Requirements include:

    \n
  • ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified or close to qualification status
  • \n
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling experience.
  • \n
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • \n
  • Experience developing dashboards and management reporting tools.
  • \n
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capabilities.
  • \n
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • \n
