Fire Installation & Commissioning Engineer
\nPackage £40,000 per annum + Overtime and Expenses
\nLocation Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London
\nWe are seeking an experienced Fire Installation & Commissioning Engineer to install, test, commission and hand over fire alarm, detection, emergency lighting and associated fire-protection systems across commercial, industrial and residential properties.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Install conventional and addressable fire alarm, detection, emergency lighting and associated fire-protection systems. \n
- Commission, test and fault-find systems in accordance with relevant British Standards and company procedures. \n
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams. \n
- Complete commissioning certificates, test records, service reports and handover documentation. \n
- Configure cause-and-effect programming where required. \n
- Diagnose and resolve on-site technical issues efficiently. \n
- Commission integrated fire and life-safety systems. \n
- Liaise with clients, site managers, subcontractors and internal teams. \n
- Provide customers with guidance on the operation of installed systems. \n
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and compliance. \n
About You
\n- \n
- Proven experience installing and commissioning fire alarm and associated fire-protection systems. \n
- Experience working with conventional and addressable fire alarm systems. \n
- Good working knowledge of BS 5839, BS 5266 and applicable fire-safety regulations. \n
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. \n
- Experience with a range of fire alarm panels and equipment manufacturers. \n
- Good understanding of electrical systems and site-based installation practices. \n
- Strong communication and customer-service skills. \n
- Able to work independently and as part of a project team. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
- Willing to travel nationwide as required. \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- Skilled Worker CSCS or ECS card. \n
- FIA Level 3 training. \n
- FIA Emergency Lighting training. \n
- Manufacturer-specific training. \n
- IPAF or PASMA certification. \n
- Experience working on construction and refurbishment projects. \n
- Experience commissioning integrated fire and life-safety systems. \n
