A real opportunity to get involved in a bit of everything but with at heart making sure the books are kept in spot on order. An eye for detail and a willingness to muck in where you are needed is what the role is all about.

In summary, what you will be doing is…

• Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts.
\n
• Submitting quarterly VAT returns.
\n
• Carrying out bank reconciliations.
\n
• Maintaining & updating fixed asset records.
\n
• Managing ledgers.
\n
• Producing budgets and forecasts.
\n
• Negotiation and administration of company insurances and pensions.
\n
• Managing cash flow and bank balances.
\n
• Dealing with Companies House and National Statistics returns.
\n
• Providing cover for the Accounts Administrator duties, including payroll and purchase ledger administration.
\n
• Providing general financial advice to the Managing Director, Shareholders and Managers.
\n

Who will you be…

Undoubtedly an experienced accountant who will have worked for a smaller business and the following will be really helpful if you possess it:

• Familiarity with Accounting software such as SAGE or Xero.
\n
• Qualified by experience or studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification.
\n
• Able to communicate confidently with business owner / managers and external stakeholders.
