Craft Gardener required for our public sector client 3 x depots Knighton Park Depot Evington Park Depot Abbey Park Depot A full driving licence is essential Mondays to Thursday 7.30 - 3.30pm with half hour unpaid lunch. Fridays 7.30 - 3.00 with half hour unpaid lunch. Key Job Activities: * Maintain horticultural features on green infrastructure, Parks, Housing and Highways land * Prepare and maintain sports features, including artificial surfaces * Maintain hard landscape features, including buildings * Develop new hard and soft landscaping features * Operate and maintain hand and mechanical specialist equipment used in the maintenance of features. * Drive and operate a tractor * Prepare and apply chemicals e.g. herbicides, fungicides, insecticides etc * Keep sites clean and tidy * Provide advice and support to customers using the facilities * Complete routine paperwork * Report any issues identified to the Team Leader * Carry out other miscellaneous duties associated with the role Experience * Experience in either horticulture or groundsman ship * Experience of working directly with customers * Experience of using horticultural specialist equipment and chemicals * Qualification in horticulture, groundsman ship or ecology * Formal training in horticulture, groundsman ship and/or ecology * Knowledge of Health & Safety issues relating to area of work and HASWA * Valid driving licence
