This is an exceptional opportunity to launch a rewarding career in Housing, Homelessness Prevention and Public Service while making a genuine difference to vulnerable residents and local communities. No previous housing experience is required. Full training will be provided. About the Role Working alongside experienced housing professionals, you will: Support residents who are homeless or threatened with homelessness Conduct homelessness assessments Develop and review Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs) Explore housing options to prevent and relieve homelessness Provide housing advice and guidance Work with landlords, support providers and partner agencies Gather evidence to support statutory decision-making Develop the skills to manage your own caseload Support vulnerable individuals in a professional, person-centred and trauma-informed mannerThis role offers an opportunity to work directly with individuals and families facing housing challenges while developing specialist knowledge in homelessness legislation and prevention. Structured Development Programme Successful candidates will undertake a comprehensive six-month training programme covering: Housing Act 1996 Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 Homelessness Code of Guidance Homelessness Assessments Personalised Housing Plans Decision Letter Writing Case Management Safeguarding Domestic Abuse Awareness Mental Health Awareness Housing Options & Prevention Temporary Accommodation Equality & Diversity Customer Care Professional Report Writing Housing Case Management SystemsTraining includes classroom learning, mentoring, case shadowing and supervised casework before progressing towards managing your own caseload.
