Multi-Drop Transport Planner £30'000-£34'000 Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm with 44 days cover throughout the year of the morning shift and evening shift which is 6-2.30 and 12-8.30pm. (Saturday mornings occasionally, paid as overtime additionally to salary) An exciting Transport Planning role with a well-established transport and logistics business in Trafford Park. We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy transport and logistics operation in Manchester. This Transport Planner role offers the opportunity to manage multi-drop route planning, driver scheduling and transport operations within a fast-paced environment. The successful Transport Planner will play a key role in ensuring on-time deliveries, maintaining service levels and supporting operational efficiency My client has built a genuinely down to earth culture and close knit team. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for: You'll be planning vehicles to hit on time deliveries and collections, adjusting schedules as customer and network demands shift, and staying closely connected with drivers throughout the day to keep things running smoothly. When something goes wrong in a live environment, and in transport something always will, you'll be the one troubleshooting it and keeping everyone informed. * Planning vehicles and multi drop routes effectively to achieve on time deliveries * Ensure all customer collections are achieved. * Changing schedules to meet customer/network demands. * Liaising with drivers and colleagues to ensure all day-to-day activities are met to the highest possible standards. * Ensuring drivers are delivering effectively and reporting delays effectively. * Trouble shooting critical transport related issues as they arise in a live environment. The successful Transport Planner will have: * Previous experience as a Transport Planner, Route Planner, Logistics Planner or Transport Coordinator. * A proactive mindset, someone who spots issues before they become problems * Multi drop transport and route planning is essential * Comfortable working on your own initiative and genuinely enjoys managing your own workload * Good with people, drivers and colleagues alike, and confident managing them effectively * Solid computer skills, full training on their in-house systems is provided * Calm and organised under pressure, with sharp attention to detail * Flexible on hours when the job demands it On offer * £30,000 - £34,000 depending on experience * 30 days annual leave including bank holidays, rising to 35 with service * Company pension * Health and wellbeing programme * Additional leave benefit If you are an experienced Transport Planner, Logistics Planner or Route Planner looking for your next challenge, we would love to hear from you.
