Adecco are recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation in Gloucestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical fitter to become part of a skilled production team responsible for assembling complex mechanical equipment from engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in the build, assembly and preparation of bespoke engineered products, ensuring they meet the highest quality and performance standards.

• Assemble complex mechanical equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and technical documentation.
\n
• Interpret bills of materials, assembly instructions and production specifications.
\n
• Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment and installation activities.
\n
• Complete production documentation, check sheets and quality records accurately.
\n
• Identify and report assembly, quality or engineering issues.
\n
• Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to ensure products meet required standards.
\n
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.
\n
• Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment.
\n
• Adhere to all Health & Safety and company procedures at all times.
\n

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
\n
• Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years' hands-on mechanical fitting or assembly experience.
\n
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
\n
• Strong mechanical assembly and fitting skills.
\n
• Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
\n
• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
\n

• Experience assembling mechanical machinery, industrial equipment or engineered products.
\n
• Manufacturing or production environment experience.
\n
• Knowledge of quality documentation and inspection procedures.
\n
• Experience working from bills of materials and assembly instructions.
\n
