About the Role\nAdecco are recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation in Gloucestershire.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical fitter to become part of a skilled production team responsible for assembling complex mechanical equipment from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
\nWorking within a modern manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in the build, assembly and preparation of bespoke engineered products, ensuring they meet the highest quality and performance standards.
\nThis role offers long-term career stability, ongoing training and the opportunity to work on varied and technically interesting projects.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Assemble complex mechanical equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and technical documentation. \n
- Interpret bills of materials, assembly instructions and production specifications. \n
- Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment and installation activities. \n
- Complete production documentation, check sheets and quality records accurately. \n
- Identify and report assembly, quality or engineering issues. \n
- Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to ensure products meet required standards. \n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation. \n
- Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment. \n
- Adhere to all Health & Safety and company procedures at all times. \n
- \n
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification. \n
- Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years' hands-on mechanical fitting or assembly experience. \n
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. \n
- Strong mechanical assembly and fitting skills. \n
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools. \n
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. \n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team. \n
- \n
- Experience assembling mechanical machinery, industrial equipment or engineered products. \n
- Manufacturing or production environment experience. \n
- Knowledge of quality documentation and inspection procedures. \n
- Experience working from bills of materials and assembly instructions. \n
- \n
