I am working exclusively with a highly successful, modern accountancy practice in Central London, backed by private equity, as they look to appoint a Partner Designate / Director to help lead the next phase of their growth. This is a genuine leadership opportunity for a qualified, RI-issued practice all-rounder who has spent their career in practice and is now ready to take a significant step forward. The successful candidate will have a strong grounding across accounts, management accounts, tax, outsourcing and some audit, but technical ability alone is not the focus. My client is looking for someone who is commercially minded, highly personable and able to build trusted relationships with clients. The Opportunity You will play a key role in running and developing the practice, with responsibility for:\n

  • Managing and developing a team and office
  • \n
  • Building strong, long-term client relationships
  • \n
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities
  • \n
  • Providing broad commercial and technical advice to clients
  • \n
  • Overseeing accounts, tax, outsourcing, management accounts and some audit
  • \n
  • Driving efficiency through technology and modern ways of working
  • \n
  • Supporting the continued growth and development of the wider business
  • \n
  • Taking a visible leadership role within the firm
  • \n
You will need to be comfortable being client-facing, commercially driven and hands-on, with the personality and credibility to become a trusted adviser to a diverse client base. About You I am looking for someone who can demonstrate consistent career progression and has spent their professional life within accountancy practice. You are likely to have:\n

  • ACA or ACCA qualification
  • \n
  • RI status
  • \n
  • A background within a 3–12 partner accountancy practice
  • \n
  • Broad practice experience across accounts and tax, with management accounts, outsourcing and some audit
  • \n
  • Proven team leadership and office management experience
  • \n
  • Strong business development and client relationship skills
  • \n
  • A genuine interest in technology and modernising the way professional services are delivered
  • \n
  • The ambition and capability to progress to the top of the organisation
  • \n
Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys working with people. You will be confident in front of clients, commercially astute and able to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively. The Package\n

  • £80,000–£130,000 basic salary, depending on experience
