Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician - Islip
\nPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician - Islip to join our well-established client based in Islip.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands-on maintenance professional with a strong electrical and/or mechanical background.
\nOur client is open to candidates from a variety of environments, including manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, facilities, and other industrial settings. You do not need to have experience in every aspect of the position, as training will be provided on site-specific requirements, including areas such as racking repairs.
\nThis position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Maintenance Engineer, Facilities Technician, or Site Maintenance Technician.

- 08:00 - 16:00 \n

Day-to-Day Duties:
\nAs a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will work:
\n- \n
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) \n
- Responding to reactive maintenance requirements and breakdowns \n
- Fault finding and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues \n
- Completing general electrical and mechanical repairs \n
- Carrying out maintenance and repairs across the site \n
- Supporting the maintenance of equipment, machinery, and site facilities \n
- Assisting with racking repairs following appropriate training \n
- Identifying faults and taking appropriate action to minimise downtime \n
- Completing maintenance records and associated documentation \n
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures \n
- Supporting continuous improvement across the maintenance function \n
- Working closely with colleagues to keep the site safe and operational \n
Essential Skills:
\nTo be successful as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will need:
\n- \n
- Previous hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience \n
- Experience gained within manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, facilities, or another industrial environment \n
- Experience with planned and/or reactive maintenance \n
- Good practical fault-finding and problem-solving skills \n
- A hands-on and flexible approach \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team \n
- Good understanding of health and safety within a maintenance environment \n
An ONC qualification is not essential.
