The Role

Reporting into the executive leadership team, key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the overall finance function and providing strategic financial leadership across the organisation.

  • Developing and implementing financial plans that support business objectives and sustainable growth.
  • \n
  • Producing accurate financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range planning models.
  • \n
  • Delivering meaningful management information and performance reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Ensuring strong financial controls, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
  • \n
  • Managing cash flow, treasury, and working capital to maintain financial stability.
  • \n
  • Overseeing statutory accounts, audit processes, and tax compliance requirements.
  • \n
  • Providing commercial support around business cases, investments, pricing strategies, and growth initiatives.
  • \n
  • Identifying financial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • \n
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing finance team.
  • \n
  • Driving continuous improvement across financial systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies.
  • \n
  • Building strong relationships with board members, senior leaders, and external partners.

About You

\n

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

\n
    \n
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • \n
  • Proven experience operating at Finance Director, Head of Finance, Financial Controller, or a similar senior leadership level.
  • \n
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory reporting and audit management.
  • \n
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • \n
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen with the ability to influence strategic decision-making.
  • \n
  • A track record of leading and developing finance teams.
  • \n
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • \n
  • Experience delivering process improvements, finance transformation projects, or systems enhancements.
  • \n
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership.
