The Role
\nWe're looking for two Heating Engineers to join our Property Services Team and help deliver high-quality heating, plumbing, repair and maintenance services across properties owned and managed by Broadacres throughout North Yorkshire. One role will be based around the Selby area and the other around the Northallerton area, providing support across our wider housing portfolio and helping us deliver an excellent repairs and maintenance service to our customers.

\nThis is a varied role where you'll carry out servicing, repairs, installations and maintenance to a range of heating systems including gas, oil, LPG and renewable technologies. You'll also undertake domestic plumbing repairs, complete associated building works, and ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
\nWorking closely with customers and colleagues, you'll play a key role in delivering an excellent repairs service, achieving first-time fixes wherever possible and ensuring our customers receive a professional and positive experience.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nCarry out servicing, repairs and installations on domestic heating systems, including gas, oil, LPG and renewable technologies.
\nUndertake domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
\nComplete associated minor building works, including making good, brick replacement and minor plastering.
\nEnsure all work complies with relevant technical standards, legislation and manufacturer requirements.
\nAccurately complete certification, records and job-related documentation.
\nUse mobile technology to record work and support service improvements.
\nWork collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and meet performance targets.
\nBuild positive relationships with customers and provide clear advice and support.
\nMaintain compliance with health and safety policies, data protection legislation and industry regulations.
\nCarry out vehicle checks and ensure company vehicles are maintained appropriately.

\nEssential Qualifications & Experience
\nExtensive experience working within housing repairs, maintenance or a similar environment.
\nExperience of working directly with customers and members of the public.
\nStrong knowledge of domestic heating systems, plumbing systems and relevant safety procedures.
\nKnowledge of Gas Industry (Installation and Use) Regulations and Gas Safe Technical Bulletins.
\nAbility to diagnose maintenance issues and identify effective solutions.
\nRelevant City & Guilds Basic Craft Certificate, recognised apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
\nCurrent Gas qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1, CONGLP1PD and UHW1.
\nFull UK driving licence.

\nExperience working within a social housing or local authority environment.
\nSignificant experience as a Heating Engineer.
\nKnowledge of renewable energy systems, including air source heat pumps and solar thermal systems.
\nKnowledge of oil and LPG heating systems.
\nOFT10-105E, OFT10-600A and OFT10-101 oil qualifications.
\nLevel 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems (Non-Refrigerant Circuits).
\nWater Regulations (WREG) qualification.
