Chief of Staff
Job Description
Dyer Baade & Company is a mid-market M&A advisory firm focused on delivering high-quality sell-side and strategic advisory mandates. We operate in a performance-driven, relationship-led environment where precision, discretion, and execution excellence are non-negotiable.
\nAs we scale, we are building a more systemised, technology-enabled operating platform. We are seeking a Chief of Staff to partner directly with the CEO in driving this transformation.
About the role:\nThis is not a traditional Chief of Staff position.
\nThis is a high-impact operational leadership mandate focused on:
\nAI enablement across advisory workflows
\nProcess design and re-engineering
\nWorkflow automation
\nPerformance infrastructure and analytics
\nExecution of CEO-level strategic priorities
\nYou will act as the CEO's execution partner, building the operational backbone that enables the firm to scale without diluting quality.
Key Responsibilities:\nLead firm-wide AI adoption, identifying and implementing high-impact use cases across deal sourcing, marketing materials, research, and diligence workflows. Establish governance standards and ensure responsible deployment.
\nMap and redesign core advisory processes end-to-end. Reduce inefficiencies, standardise execution, and implement automation layers that materially improve productivity.
\nBuild and institutionalise KPI dashboards covering pipeline velocity, conversion ratios, fee realisation, and deal cycle time. Introduce operating cadence and performance transparency.
\nDrive cross-functional strategic projects including pricing optimisation, tech stack rationalisation, vendor selection, and organisational design.
\nInfluence and align team members around operational improvements without relying on formal authority.
Candidate Profile\n6-12 years' experience in strategy consulting, professional services, start-up, or similar.
\nDemonstrated track record of implementing operational improvements - not just advising on them.
\nStrong digital fluency, including familiarity with AI tools, workflow automation, and CRM systems.
\nExceptional systems thinking and structured problem-solving capability.
\nHigh ownership mentality and comfort operating in a high-performance, low-bureaucracy environment.
\nExecutive presence, discretion, and the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders.
What we offer\nDirect partnership with the CEO
\nHigh autonomy and real authority
\nOpportunity to design the operating system of a growing advisory firm
\nCompetitive compensation
Location\nSt. James's, London
\nPreference for Full-Time, but Part-Time is also possible if at least 28 hours per week
\n
