Chief of Staff

Dyer Baade & Company
Greater London, ENG, GB Full Time

Job Description

\n

Dyer Baade & Company is a mid-market M&A advisory firm focused on delivering high-quality sell-side and strategic advisory mandates. We operate in a performance-driven, relationship-led environment where precision, discretion, and execution excellence are non-negotiable.

\n

As we scale, we are building a more systemised, technology-enabled operating platform. We are seeking a Chief of Staff to partner directly with the CEO in driving this transformation.

About the role:\n

This is not a traditional Chief of Staff position.

\n

This is a high-impact operational leadership mandate focused on:

\n

AI enablement across advisory workflows

\n

Process design and re-engineering

\n

Workflow automation

\n

Performance infrastructure and analytics

\n

Execution of CEO-level strategic priorities

\n

You will act as the CEO's execution partner, building the operational backbone that enables the firm to scale without diluting quality.

Key Responsibilities:\n

Lead firm-wide AI adoption, identifying and implementing high-impact use cases across deal sourcing, marketing materials, research, and diligence workflows. Establish governance standards and ensure responsible deployment.

\n

Map and redesign core advisory processes end-to-end. Reduce inefficiencies, standardise execution, and implement automation layers that materially improve productivity.

\n

Build and institutionalise KPI dashboards covering pipeline velocity, conversion ratios, fee realisation, and deal cycle time. Introduce operating cadence and performance transparency.

\n

Drive cross-functional strategic projects including pricing optimisation, tech stack rationalisation, vendor selection, and organisational design.

\n

Influence and align team members around operational improvements without relying on formal authority.

Candidate Profile\n

6-12 years' experience in strategy consulting, professional services, start-up, or similar.

\n

Demonstrated track record of implementing operational improvements - not just advising on them.

\n

Strong digital fluency, including familiarity with AI tools, workflow automation, and CRM systems.

\n

Exceptional systems thinking and structured problem-solving capability.

\n

High ownership mentality and comfort operating in a high-performance, low-bureaucracy environment.

\n

Executive presence, discretion, and the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders.

What we offer\n

Direct partnership with the CEO

\n

High autonomy and real authority

\n

Opportunity to design the operating system of a growing advisory firm

\n

Competitive compensation

Location\n

St. James's, London

\n

Preference for Full-Time, but Part-Time is also possible if at least 28 hours per week
