Edinburgh (Hybrid) | £60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits | Permanent

Are you an experienced Content Designer with a passion for creating clear, accessible and user-centred public services?

\n

We're looking for a Senior Content Designer to join a growing User-Centred Design team delivering complex digital transformation programmes across the public sector. You'll work within multidisciplinary agile teams alongside User Researchers, Service Designers, Product Managers, Business Analysts and Technical Specialists to shape services that make a real difference to users.

\nWhat You'll Be Doing\n
\n
    \n
  • Leading content design activities across digital transformation projects.
  • \n
  • Translating complex policy, legal and operational information into clear, actionable content.
  • \n
  • Designing and improving content across end-to-end service journeys.
  • \n
  • Creating and iterating content for forms, guidance, notifications and digital services.
  • \n
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure evidence-led decision making.
  • \n
  • Championing accessibility, inclusion and plain English principles.
  • \n

\nWhat We're Looking For\n
\n
    \n
  • Experience working as a Senior Content Designer within multidisciplinary teams.
  • \n
  • Strong Public Sector or Government experience (essential).
  • \n
  • Experience working to GDS standards.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of User-Centred Design and accessibility best practice.
  • \n
  • Experience delivering Discovery and Alpha phase projects.
  • \n
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and influence content decisions using evidence and user insight.
  • \n
