Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a passionate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic Kier Design team. This role offers the flexibility of nationwide/agile working with travel as necessary, allowing you to work in a way that suits you best!

Your Role and Responsibilities\n

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key player in driving commercial excellence across Kier Design. Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage various aspects of commercial activity, including:

  • Leading subcontractor procurement activities, from tendering to evaluation and appointment.
  • \n
  • Supporting contract administration and change control processes, collaborating with Project Leads to manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • \n
  • Providing accurate forecasting and reporting, preparing client applications for payment, and effectively managing work in progress.
  • \n
  • Ensuring safe entry into contracts through PLM governance while maintaining compliance with commercial standards.
  • \n
  • Enhancing team efficiency by monitoring utilization, supporting bid and tender activities, and building strong inter-team relationships.
  • \n
What We’re Looking For\n

This role is perfect for you if:

  • You have experience in a similar Quantity Surveying role within construction, consultancy, design, or term-service environments.
  • \n
  • You possess strong contractual awareness, including NEC and general commercial principles, with proven experience in subcontract procurement and management.
  • \n
  • You’re confident in preparing client applications, forecasting, cost reporting, and managing change control processes.
  • \n
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are detail-oriented, and can work independently across multiple projects.
  • \n
  • You’re a collaborative problem-solver with strong time management skills, commercial judgment, and a commitment to our values.
